This is where you begin! At Whistling Pines Gun Club, more people attend our NRA First Steps class than any other. This class meets the Colorado Concealed Carry training requirements. It is geared toward beginners and covers handgun fundamentals.
In NRA First Steps, we cover:
- Firearm Safety – 3 Basic Rules
- Gun Handling and Operation
- Ammunition Handling and Characteristics
- Shooting on the Simulator
- Live Fire on the Range
- Gun Cleaning and Care
If you are experienced with handguns and would like to take a more advanced class that still qualifies you for a Colorado Concealed Carry Permit, consider our Concealed Carry course.
