WP 104: NRA First Steps for Women
NRA First Steps for Women is the women’s version of the renowned NRA First Steps course. Exclusively taught by women for women, this is a safe, non-judgmental learning environment. It is an excellent introduction to safely handling and shooting of handguns, as well as a first class refresher course for intermediate and experienced shooters.
In this class we cover:
- Safely handling firearms
- Ammunition characteristics
- Modern shooting techniques
- Cleaning your gun.
- It includes approximately one hour of range time.
Students who do not own handguns can use WPGC rental guns.
The NRA First Steps/Girls’ Night Out course satisfies the training requirement for the Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit.
Class size: minimum 3, maximum 10
Prerequisite: none
Attendees should have:
- Personal handgun (or club loaner) and 50 rounds of ammunition
- We offer affordable eye and ear protection
