Intermediate Pistol Skill Courses – 200 Series Courses
The 200 series courses are intended for students who wish to learn more advanced, tactically oriented pistol skills. Students should have a solid understanding of basic marksmanship skills, and be able to demonstrate proficiency with their personal handguns.
Before enrolling in 200 series courses, all students must pass the shooting proficiency test.
Shooting proficiency test: the modified silhouette target (#7 on the wall) will be placed seven yards downrange. The student will have 90 seconds to fire 10 shots at the target. 9 of the 10 shots must be in the black.
The 200 series of courses is organized to give students a logical progression for adding new shooting skills. It is important to take the courses in order, since each builds on previously developed skills, and adds new skills needed for the next course in the series.
Each course in the 200 series includes performance tests to determine whether students have mastered the concepts presented. Guns and holsters used in the 200 series courses, with the exception of WP 206, must be standard home defense or concealed carry equipment.
